Self-Righteous To The End

Watching the news today, I was struck by his moral conviction. No matter what goes on in court, no matter how grave the crimes that he's charged with, he's unwilling to repent.

In his version of the story, he's a hero. The crimes he's being charged with are fabrications, and his trial is a sham. He knows that his real crime was daring to stand up against decadence and moral emptiness and the work of the Devil. And if his tactics were wrong by the lights of the biased American media, God knows all too well that the war against Evil often calls for extreme measures to be used.

All that he has done, he knows, he has done in the service of God. And all the punishment that human justice can inflict on him is only martyrdom.
